ABOUT SPAIN RANCH

EST. 2004

Spain Ranch is the culmination of decades of work and development. Formerly known as Clifton Ranch, the site was a labor of love for Lloyd and Sue Clifton from the 1960's until they turned over the ranch to the Spain Family in 2004. The past sixteen years have seen extensive work to bring the property to it's former glory with construction of horse fences, new barns, and reclamation of a large pond to preserve habitats for wildlife and fowl. We realized a property this beautiful and secluded, with views as we have, are few in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The experience of passing through our entrance onto our winding road lined with trees makes one feel removed from urban life; all the while, we are still quite close to the city. Once we realized this, we knew we had to share this special Oklahoma Ranch with others. Planning began in 2013 to build the New England style white barn wedding venue on our rural property. Spain Ranch opened it's doors and became an official Oklahoma barn venue on September 26th, 2015 for our first wedding. Once the doors were open on the White Barn and we had a grasp on the wedding industry, in the summer of 2016, we began planning our second venue complete with bride and groom's suites. We opened our second venue, The Black Barn on July 12th, 2018 to over 200 people at the grand opening of the Tulsa’s most unique wedding venue. Now open, the Black Barn has helped Spain Ranch become Oklahoma’s most sought-after destination wedding venue. Hosting numerous out-of-state couples and couples from five different countries. The White and Black Barns are original designs by John Spain and Bronwyn E. Spain.

ABOUT THE WHITE BARN

Spain Ranch is home to Oklahoma's first and only all-white barn venue. The White Barn at Spain Ranch is a 4800SF modern white interior and exterior post and beam barn venue with soaring ceilings. Spain Ranch's event space is an Oklahoma barn venue unlike any other. Set on 44 acres of secluded wooded forests, hills, pastures, a winding creek and a pond, the options for portraits across the ranch are endless. Have your ceremony inside the white chapel lined with windows, or say your vows in our courtyard with the fairytale-esque hillside backdrop. Our venue is a blank slate that can suit any couple's vision for their dream wedding day. Tulsa’s White Barn at Spain Ranch is equipped to host every type of event, from an intimate elopement, to a non-profit event of 250. The Ranch is a family owned and operated business nestled along the banks of the Arkansas River just minutes from Downtown Tulsa, South Tulsa, and Bixby.

ABOUT THE BLACK BARN

Often imitated, never duplicated. Spain Ranch is also home to Oklahoma's first and only Black Barn venue.  The brand new Tulsa modern wedding venue boasts our trademark minimalist aesthetic. It serves as a space for brides and grooms to get ready, an office space, and a new event space.  The chapel/event space was designed for small and intimate wedding ceremonies.  Our elopement venue in Tulsa is the most unique space to say "I do" in Oklahoma.   The chapel holds up to 100 guests for wedding ceremonies, wedding receptions, and private events. It holds 75 guests for ceremony + reception as the space will require a flip. The chapel carries over the same natural light aesthetic as the White Barn.  Two sets of french doors open up to patio space, and can be propped open during ceremonies.  Desiring a design with usability, comfort, and detail in mind, two of the best hair/make-up professionals in Tulsa were consulted for the bride and groom's suites. These suites are flooded with natural light and equipped with everything a bride, groom, and their bridal parties  needs for wedding preparations. Each 540 sf suite is equipped with• en suite restrooms • private 175sf patio • bar + mini-fridge • television [groom suite only] • wi-fi • speaker system • hair and make-up stations [bridal suite only] •

Inspired by a trip to Kentucky, and accents on the existing White Barn, designer Bronwyn Spain (of B.E Publishing). and builder John Spain knew they had to bring a black barn to the Oklahoma ranch.  What began as a need for bridal suites turned into a multi-use barn that can host small weddings ( hello Tulsa elopements and destination weddings! ), corporate events + retreats, and provides a unique rehearsal dinner spot in Tulsa.  A striking contrast to the White Barn's exterior in color, many of the same architectural details and interior finishes carry over into The Black Barn
